Have you ever wondered how to train up your children in the way they should go, so when they are old, they won’t depart from it?

Hey! I’m Dollie Freeman.

My kingdom assignment is to help Christian parents raise self-disciplined children so they do walk away from their childhood faith and conform to the conduct of this world.

My vision for helping raise self-disciplined children is anchored in a day I walked away from my family, in a crying-craze and getting lost in the woods, when I no longer could hide my overwhelm from my husband and children!

Having been a Christian mom, who read all the books and took the course on growing our children God’s way, I thought I was doing all the right things. Yet, the day to day running of our home, and then homeschool, had our family living in constant conflict and endless friction, instead of experiencing the happy moments, I desperately desired and our family deserved.

As I followed my husband’s directions from the country store in the woods to our home, I made a promise to myself to start working on my own habits and find solutions to the situations that led to met my husband at the door to take his keys to our only vehicle, while leaving my purse behind and without any explanation.

Thankfully just a short time later, I stumbled across the philosophies of Charlotte Mason, an English educator from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, who developed her own method of education based on her study of the brain and how influences breed conduct. As I began to study her original writings, I was drawn to her approach to habit formation and its part of a child’s education.

It took years for me to piece together how her method does imply a way to the end, and a step-by-step process in that way, but I was learning enough as I went along to begin seeing the fruits of this method in our home, not just our homeschooling. However, it took years of raising our children, to identify what main stream Christian advice was missing and more importantly, how to mend the relationships those mistakes were making in our home.

Despite my mistakes, I was able to train up our children in the way they should go and they didn’t depart from it as adults.

Now I help Christian parents, and homeschooling moms, discover how wholesome influences are essential to training up children in the way they should go, so when they are old, they will not depart from it.
