Are you looking for wholesome curriculum that teaches Bible History? If so, I’d love to introduce you to Genesis: Finding Our Roots.
I can’t recall how I stumbled onto this family favorite book over fifteen years ago, but I’m so thankful that I did.
Ruth Beechick is an excellent author and her insights were some that I never heard before but completely believed based on her explanation.
Genesis: Finding Our Roots is by far one of our favorite high school curriculum for Charlotte Mason homeschooling.
HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM FOR CHARLOTTE MASON HOMESCHOOLING
High school curriculum for Charlotte Mason homeschooling should get a teen thinking and reasoning so they can form their own philosophies. Without this inward digestion of a curriculum, your high schoolers morning will be wasted.
Genesis: Finding Our Roots provides plenty to think and reason about that will form Biblical philosophies beyond their years. At least that has been the result for our family, including myself!
This high school curriculum is more than just a reading book for Bible.
It also provides assignment ideas including:
- Bible Reading
- Bible History
- Memory Work
- Art Appreciation
- Writing Assignments
- Map work
- Further Study
- AND MORE… LOTS MORE!
BIBLE HISTORY CURRICULUM FOR CHARLOTTE MASON HIGH SCHOOL
Genesis: Finding Our Roots is the perfect Bible History curriculum that takes you from Genesis 1-11, which is the exact scripture that my Creation Vs Evolution: Learn How Science Supports the Bible focuses on as well. In fact, doing both of these curriculum the same year is what our older three children did, but I jumped the gun on the science study with our youngest.
We love how literature and art that is included reveals startling insights about giants, dragons, cherubim and other beings that the early people knew but we have lost in myth that finds their way into many religions around the world.
Genesis: Finding Our Roots includes maps, charts, timeline and full-color reproductions of ancient art inside six units that are flexible for middle and high school, as well as an oral study with the whole family.
